to patio, semi-custom, and custom homes. In the planning, there will be an extensive trail system winding through the development, connecting with existing trails. As part of the development, there is also a plan to build a unique Colorado event venue near the north entrance into the developmento FoundersParkway. Theproposedvenuewillbemulti-functional,servingevents including weddings, banquets, fundraisers, and community gatherings such as concerts. Once completed, it will have a panoramic view overlooking Castle Rock and the mountain range facing west. The Pioneer Ranch development will utilize the Town of Castle Rock water system. Once complete, this development will have a major impact to growth and development of the greater Castle Rock community economic engine and local economy.
Convenience Store and Gas Station
The Dimension Group has submitted plans to the Town of Castle Rock to construct a new convenience store, fueling station, car wash and pad side for future building additions at 1540 Lake Gulch Road. Phase 2 of the project will include the construction of a 2,100 square foot retail site. Owner is Sinclair Oil Company. The convenience store will occupy approximately 5,092 square feet of space. The fueling canopy will have a total of 6 fuel pumps, multiple product dispensers. Also, the plan is to have a 1,778 square foot automated drive-through car wash facility. A start date for construction is yet-to-be-determined.
The Backyard Tap House and Grill
A site development plan has been submitted by
The Backyard for approval by the Town of Castle
Rock to authorize a non-material amendment to
allow canopy/tent structure permanently as it was
previously approved under a Temporary Use Permit.
Minor facade changes in wood are also included.
The application does not include a public hearing
before the Design Review Board. Throughout the
year, The Backyard o ers a variety of free live
musical entertainment since the covered tent
venue is climate controlled. Entertainment ranges
from country western music, rock, alternative, and
acoustic guitar acts. Most recently, an extremely
popular “add-on” at The Backyard is Saturday
morning Yoga & Mimosas from 8-10 am. Currently
they have free live music Thursday-Sunday at published times via this newsletter and social media.
