leaving their cars. In 2007, they hit a milestone when they opened their 1,000th location in Pasadena, California and achieve $1 billion in revenue for the rst time. In 2017, they opened their 2,000th store at Broadway and 111th Street in Manhattan, New York. Their signature Original Orange ChickenTMcelebrated its 30th birthday. Now Castle Rock will be the next store to serve our community for years to come.
Shake Shack:
Shake Shake Colorado LLC has submitted a proposal to the Town for a new Site Development Plan application for a new 4,000 square foot restaurant to be located in the Prominade at Castle Rock on the east side of Promenade Parkway and to the west of TJ Maxx. Construction date has not yet been determined.
Shake Shack sprouted from a hot dog cart in Madison Square Park in Manhattan to support the Madison Square Park Conservancy’s rst art installation. The
cart was quite the success, with Shack fans lined up daily for three summers. In 2004, a permanent kiosk opened in the park: Shake Shack was born. This modern day “roadside” burger stand serves up the most delicious burgers, hot dogs, frozen custard, shakes, beer, wine and more. An instant neighborhood xture, Shake Shack welcomed people from all over the city, country and world who gathered together to enjoy fresh, simple, high-quality versions of the classics.
Castle Rock Development:
New Car Storage Facility:
A current proposal is being coordinated by the Town’s Planning and Development Commission for the construction of a 23,000 square foot structure for climate control indoor car storage. This proposed structure will be located on 2.93 acres adjacent to the I-25 Frontage Road in the Your Storage Center Annex. There is an apparent need in our community to store and protect collector cars, extra family vehicles, and project cars. Construction has not yet gotten underway.
Heckendorf Ranch Retail:
UDC CVW, LLC is proposing a 10,000 square foot retail project in Heckendorf Ranch at the intersection of Plum Creek Blvd. and Crystal Valley Ranch Parkway. Once approved by the Town of Castle Rock, it will be a small neighborhood commercial/retail center to provide services to the nearby residents. Occupant of this facility is yet-to-be determined. However, it is likely that there will be at least one convenience store at this location.
