In its implementation, DPR’s duties and authority have been regulated on Harian Rakyat, 10 June 1960.
in the 1945 Constitution. In relation to its legislative function, DPR has
duties and authority, namely preparing the National Legislation Program
(Prolegnas), compiling and discussing Bills (RUU), and enacting laws to-
gether with the President.
In relation to its budgetary function, DPR has the duties and authority to
approve the State Budget (APBN) Bill, to heed the considerations of the
Regional Representative Council (DPD) on the State Budget Bill and the
Bills on tax, education, and religious rights, and to follow up on the results
of the audit on the management and responsibility of state finances sub-
mitted by the Audit Board of the Republic of Indonesia (BPK).
