Helpful Reminders If a named storm is approaching

                   1.  Inform sellers to secure all signs and loose objects to protect from wind damage
                   2.  Helpful for sellers to take pictures of property and contents prior to storm for any future claims.
                   3.  Seller should keep their home’s deed and title policy documents in a safe and secure place.
                   4.  Prepare clients with how a named storm can affect closings and transactions; warn of possible
                       delays and problem which can arise from any damage.
                   5.  Have homeowners determine if they are insured, what types of insurance, and any questions
                       about claims from their insurance agents, especially if under contract.
                   6.  Any recommendations regarding evacuations should be left to city and county authorities
                   7.  After storm you should inspect all listing for damage, inform clients of any damage, as well as
                       other agents if property is under contract.
                   8.  If property is pending, contact lender or insurance brokers to see if re-inspections are needed
                       and determine how long any delays will affect your closing date.
                   9.  Reschedule cancelled showings if property is undamaged.
