took his leave, he was perfectly satisfied that his Brothers
could take care of the situation. He was more than satis-
fied when he wrote about them. He was mildly boastful.
"As regards the work of the Brothers, our teaching meth-
ods became a matter of admiration, and a wish was ex-
pressed to have a publication of our method in English.
"Before I left, one of the ladies who teaches in the
Girls'Department told me that her sister, who was a very
learned person, had told her that she loved to listen to
the religious instructions given by Brother lgnatius. So
much do his methods appeal to her that she could listen
for hours.
"For me it was consoling to know that this good
Brother was already capable of teaching in English."
