           NO ESCAPE FROM LOUISVILLE

        T) RoTHER RyxrN sATLED rnou BosroN on All Souls
D nry, 1854. Afrer what was regarded as a fast trip
in those days, only eleven days at sea, he landed in
Liverpool and went at once to the Brothers' house in
nzlanchester. Here he spent the night and before retir-
ing he had given the Brothers a full report on Louis-
ville, the two schools, the Brothers' quarters, and Bishop

for the promulgation of the dogma of the Immaculate
Conception on December eighth and he would not be
back before the middle of January.
