NEW SERVICE:
HOTSPOT LENDING
The library now has 14 T-mobile Wi-Fi hotspots available to lend for 2 week terms, no renewals.
A Wi-Fi hotspot is a device you can use to connect a device, such as a laptop, smartphone, computer or tablet to the Internet. The hotspot is portable, so you can connect your device almost anywhere.
You can connect multiple devices at the same time.
This program addresses the needs of Pontiac households who do not have home access to high-speed Internet services. Limited supply available.
In order to be eligible to participate in this program, a patron must:
• Have a child in public school*
• Have a valid library card and be
at least 18 years old
• Have less than $15 in outstanding
fines on their library card
*5 of the hotspots are reserved for families with school aged children and partially funded through a grant from United Way of Southeastern Michigan.

ESPORTS (ROBLOX) GAME DESIGN
October 3
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Students grades 5-8 will take their love for the Roblox game to a developer level by designing and constructing an eSport arenas using Roblox Studio. Students will learn Roblox commands, 3D modeling, textures, arena development and some Lua programming language.
The classes will educate kids about game design and computer science for students grades 5th-8th. (suggested grade but all interested teens should register). Students do not need to have coding or gaming experience.
