COMMUNITY SUPPORT

          Livermore

          Team

The team members in Haskell’s Livermore,
California, office are known for their palpable sense
of camaraderie, and one of the things that unites
them is their passion for community service.
“We know it’s part of the Haskell culture to promote
volunteer service, and we do a service project every
quarter,” said Scott Rothi, Private Facilities AE Design
Director and the Livermore office leader. “We’ll get
together as a staff and people will throw out ideas,
and then our office administrator books them for us.
We’re a remote office with 27 people, so we make
sure that we always have something to give people
an opportunity to engage and get together. The
service events serve part of that goal, as well.”
In 2023, they took part in no fewer than a half-
dozen service projects, from preparing gardens for
the upcoming season at Sunflower Hill, a facility
where adults with disabilities work, live, learn and
thrive as part of the community, to packing over
4000 meals that included rice, fortified crushed
soy, a blend of 6 dehydrated vegetables, and 21
vitamins and minerals for Kids Against Hunger.
