Sulzer provides you short term and long term disability.
Short Term Disability (STD)
At no cost to you, our company-paid short term disability (STD) coverage
provides you with a percentage of your weekly income while you are out
of work following a non-work related accident or illness.
STD Beneits At-a-Glance

Beneit Amount 75% of your salary up to a maximum of
$1,500 per week with a minimum weekly
beneit of $25
Cost Sulzer pays
Waiting Period 0 days for accident/hospitalization
7 days for illness
Duration Up to 26 weeks for accident/
hospitalization
Up to 25 weeks for illness
Long Term Disability (LTD)
Our long term disability (LTD) coverage protects your family by
providing you with a percentage of your monthly income while you are
disabled for a longer period than STD would otherwise cover.
LTD Beneits At-a-Glance
Cigna
Beneit Amount 66.67% of your pre-disability earnings up to a maximum of
$5,000 per month
Cost Sulzer pays
Waiting Period 180 days
Duration You will be covered for 24 months if unable to preform
your own occupation; you will be covered to normal Social
Security Retirement Age if you continue to be deemed
disabled according to the plan requirements.
