Medical and Prescription Drug Coverage
UnitedHealthcare administers Optimas’ comprehensive medical plans.
Optimas offers two plan options: a Traditional Choice Plus PPO plan and
a Consumer HSA Choice Plus plan. Both plans provide a wide range of
coverage for major medical services and prescription drug coverage.
Prescription drug coverage is an important part of our medical program.
UnitedHealthcare’s OptumRx administers our prescription drug program.
OptumRx includes an Expanded Preventive Drug list with all listed drugs
covered at 100 percent, with no deductible required. You are permitted to
receive two ills of any medication on the Expanded Preventive Drug List
at a local pharmacy, then must transfer your prescription to the OptumRx
mail order program. You may not receive more than two ills of your
medication at a local pharmacy. See page 7 for instructions on transferring
your prescription to OptumRx mail order program.
In compliance with the Affordable Care Act, the list of medications
included on the HCR Preventive drug list are also covered at 100 percent.
These medications may be illed at a retail pharmacy and are not required
to be transferred to mail order. Both drug lists mentioned above are
available on the ADP/WFN site.
