Insurance
For many of us, nothing is more important than our health and the health
of our family members. The importance of having health insurance should
not be dismissed or underestimated. Medical and pharmacy insurance can
help you avoid or limit some of these costs and it can also help you develop
and maintain a healthier lifestyle. If you elect one of the Ainsworth medical
plans, you and your covered spouse, are encouraged to complete certain
annual wellness screening activities. More information will be provided
throughout the year to prepare you for the 2017 wellness requirements.
Medical—Aetna
Aetna administers our comprehensive medical plans. Aetna’s network offers
exceptional access to in-network providers and deep discounts on services.
This results in lower costs to you and our plan. It is highly recommended
you verify all associated providers are participating in the Aetna network.
This helps you avoid incurring any unexpected out-of-network charges
and ensures the most cost effective use of your health plan. We offer three
medical plan options from which you may choose. Please refer to page 8 of
this guide for tools and resources offered by Aetna.
Pharmacy—Pharmavail
Pharmavail administers our pharmacy beneit management program.
Pharmavail offers a network of retail, mail, and specialty pharmacies
along with a formulary that promotes and monitors the appropriate use
of prescription drugs. 99 percent of all retail pharmacies are included in
Pharmavail’s nationwide network. All specialty medications must be illed
through the Pharmavail specialty network.
Pharmavail encourages you and your covered family members to call their
member services number which is available 24 hours a day to ask questions
concerning the appropriate use of a medication as well as for guidance in
using generic and preferred brand drugs.
The pharmacy deductible and out-of-pocket maximums are separate and
distinct from the Aetna medical plan.
