Disability Benefits








Short Term Disability

Short-Term Disability (STD) replaces your weekly income while you are out of work
following a non-work related accident or illness. DAN offers a STD plan at no cost to you.
Those eligible will receive an STD beneit equal to 100% of their weekly earnings and are
eligible to receive this beneit for up to 26 weeks. If you work in a state that has a statutory
disability beneits (California, Hawaii, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island or Washington),
your disability beneits may be reduced by any statutory beneits payable to you.


Long Term Disability
Long-Term Disability (LTD) protects your income by providing you with a percentage of
your income while you are disabled. DAN provides an LTD beneit at no cost to you. In
the event of an illness or accident that requires a lengthy recovery, you may be eligible
to receive 60% of your monthly salary up to a maximum of $20,000 per month. You are
eligible to receive this beneit until you reach Social Security Normal Retirement Age. You
have the option of paying 100% of the LTD premium. By paying the premiums yourself, any
beneit you receive while disabled will not be considered taxable income.
