Highlighting the importance of this project, His Excellency Dawoud Al Hajri, added, "The project is

set to improve security and safety measures for maritime traffic and commercial operations within
Dubai Creek."

Project Duration

Over 14 months, the project will involve replacing and rehabilitating damaged sections of the

concrete wall along the 2.1km Deira pier. The depth of the wall will be increased to 8 metres, and its
height raised to 3 metres to facilitate the safe docking of ships.

Further Enhancements By Dubai Municipality

Dubai Municipality plans to enhance services and facilities for safe docking and navigation by

installing 200 anchors across the dock. Dubai Creek holds significant historical, commercial, and

economic importance, serving as a vital maritime channel for over a century. Despite Dubai's
extensive development, the Creek remains a key attraction, attracting residents, visitors, and tourists

alike. It continues to play a crucial role in trade interactions and tourism, preserving its historical

significance while integrating modern projects to meet contemporary needs.
