SHARJAH’S RULER

The Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) gave the Arab Cultural Merit
Award to His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of
Sharjah, on April 17, 2025. This award was given for his amazing work to promote Arab culture.

Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Culture, accepted the award for His
Highness at a ceremony held at ALECSO’s headquarters in Tunis, Tunisia. Many important people attended the
event, including Dr. Mohamed Ould Amar, the Director-General of ALECSO, and Dr. Eman Al Salami, the UAE
Ambassador to Tunisia. Also present were ambassadors from Arab countries and many famous intellectuals,
thinkers, and media people from the Arab world.
