Dubai Ruler Issues Decree

Establishing Central

Grievances Committee for

Government Employees

Dubai has introduced a new mechanism aimed at strengthening fairness and

transparency within its public sector.

In his capacity as the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid

Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, issued

Decree No. (5) of 2026 establishing the Central Grievances Committee for Dubai

Government employees.

The new decree is designed to enhance justice and good governance within

government institutions while ensuring that employees have a fair process to

address concerns related to administrative decisions affecting their employment.

The move reflects Dubai’s continued efforts to improve workplace governance,

support employee rights, and promote a more transparent public sector.
