Snape Maltings concert hall is a 15 minute drive from where I live and is the home of the
Aldeburgh festival, founded by the composer Benjamin Britten in 1948. It’s classed as one of the
world’s finest acoustic concert halls and is set along the tidal River Alde and beautiful marshes.
