impossible to build an
entire vehicle from start to fi nish in
only two days in a makeshift mobile shop.
“We pretty much pre-built the truck like we
would do if we were mocking one up then
taking it completely apart for paint. We left
the chassis together as a rolling chassis and
did fi nal assembly there.” said Ben Julian. Ben
and his team did an amazing job of not only
getting the vehicle assembled in such short
time, but they also actively engaged the crowd
of spectators that gathered around to watch
the ride come together, answering questions
and teaching as they went. ‘Nailhead Nellie’
was completed and fi red up by about 5pm on
Saturday. It was a good thing the crew was
able to pull it all off in time because Nellie
had a date in the morning with the legendary
Bristol Motor Speedway. Its fi rst drive would
be an epic one!
