As for the engine, it’s been ‘cranked up a
bit’ per Drew in the way of a new fuel pin in the
injector pump. It now puts out over 300 horses,
but with diesels, it’s all about that torque. He
fi gures it’s up around 600-700 ft/lbs by now.
A boat mechanic by trade, Drew used boat
gauges in the stock gauge cluster. Oddly enough,
the speedo from a Toyota Tercel wagon was an
almost perfect match for the old speedo bezel so
in it went. The boost and pyro gauges happened
to fi t perfectly inside a couple of old tomato paste
cans. Other custom touches in the interior include
an ammo can for a glovebox, the cylinder from
a six-shooter for a shifter handle, and a couple

of pistons that were relieved of their connecting
rods, inverted, and now used for cup holders.
