In the summer of 2014,
Luke was putting the
wraps on his degrees
in economics and
psychology at the
University of Minnesota.
He purchased the ’31
Chevy and the donor
truck, a running,
driving ’89 Dodge
2WD pickup. The
rest of the summer
was spent collecting
miscellaneous parts
and going through
the machinations of
building his wildest
creation yet. But a mere
two days into the actual
build, the fi rst of a series
of life-changing
events began.
