We all search for or look for those cars that
have stood up to time, survived storms and
fi re, and who knows what all else so that
we can go and breathe life back into them.
To score that amazing barn fi nd for the
greatest price ever and to bring the car back
to life with parts laying around the shop.
There are no cars or rat rods in the
images I give you this month. Duke provided
us with some trains and the insides of these
magnifi cent machines and I found some
neat warehouse shots and some graffi ti.
(that seems to go hand in hand when
exploring like this). This issue I wanted to
explore more than just vehicles. I wanted to
showcase potential places that you could
fi nd the next cover car or your next hot rod
for the local cruise night. I wanted to focus
on the part of our culture where the vehicles
are found. Where the stories happened
before we rescue the cars we love. There is
inspiration to be found in these abandoned
