bought it for $5 at a
yard sale.
This is a long vehicle.
Your average S-10 frame is
between 106” and 122”. Mike’s beast
measures 152” and was built out of 2” x 4”
square tubing. Everything in the front end was also made
by hand except the springs. The crazy long hairpins are
4130 tool steel.
According to Mike, it rides like a Cadillac. That’s
appropriate because the motor was pulled from the
carcass of a 1975 Caddy limo. The 500-inch behemoth
was treated to a full rebuild and cranks out about 475
horsepower. It’s backed up by a Turbo 400 trans.
Other cool touches are the ’46 International semi truck
grille and the ’60 Massey-Ferguson tractor gas tank.
