this is an amazing event because lots of photographers flood the staging
area. this year i got to watch several big names in hot rod imagery work.
Hundreds of old cars create an amazing photo opportunity. idols of the lens
feast on vintage race scenes and document the glory for all the world to see.
i could name drop here but i never talked to most of them… just watched
them from afar, in awe. it is thrilling for me, because these big guys are
published all the time. these guys are in all the car magazines we’ve been
saving since we were 16 for our sons. these are the guys whose images
astound us… and i was in the staging area with them snapping away.
Hopefully in twenty or fifty years my son will show his kids the pictures
th
his granddaddy Porkstick took. right here, in the 30 issue of rat rod
magazine, preserved as long as the paper holds. my goal in the PorK
rePort has been to inspire you with americana beauty and expose the
crustier side of the show scene. we appreciate your readership and keeping
the magazine industry alive with your purchase.
Besides, old magazines in attics are cooler than just
about any old laptop or stupid computer.
