SOME KIDS get a new
toy and spend hours
playing with it. Others
can fi nd the same joy
in playing with the box
it came in. We think
Tim Harris was one of
those kids. He’s that
guy that proves once
again that hard work,
creativity, and about
$1500 can result in a
bitchin’ rat rod.
Tim’s been wrenching on
cars for the last 40 years or
so, starting at the tender age
12. He’s built everything from
European exotics to street freaks to muscle cars. Back
around 2004 or so he found out about a ‘ 35 Plymouth,
or rather what was left of one, that was sitting in a
fi eld. People were just starting to understand what
a rat rod was, but that didn’t mean anything to Tim.
He just saw the beauty in the forsaken pile of rusty
parts and much to the amusement of his friends,
proceeded to plan out the build.
