hows are an abundance during the summer. As the weather starts to taper off into the less preferred
elements for a car show, you truly fi nd out who does it for the love of the hobby and community - this
was clear at the Rat Rod Resurrection. Held at Don and Kathy Duchene’s beautiful property in quaint
Harris, MN, it’s a welcoming, family atmosphere. I swear these people are the epitome of ‘Minnesota
SNice’. The turnout of 60 cars and trucks was quite impressive given the weather was on and off rain
and drizzle. Awards and announcements rang out from the stage, as well as the fun and soulful tunes of The
Fattenin’ Frogs. Giving back to the community is always a priority to The Duchenes who held a silent auction
where proceeds went the family of Kena Spivet and ‘Prayers for Kena’. Unfavorable weather or not, great times
were had by all and the small-town vibe of this event continues to grow.
