INNOVATION In November, Sisk achieved recertification to the

AWARDS ISO-50001 Energy Management Standard. Being one of
the first ISO-50001 certified Energy Management Systems
in the industry, it remains innovative on a global level and
2018 demonstrates leadership in energy efficiency and
sustainability.

monitor the use of site fuel on all projects. Given that over
50 per cent of all energy consumed by the business is
through diesel used on sites, the measurement of how
this is used is vital to assist in the identification of
inefficient processes and the implementation of energy
inefficient
conservation measures.
From January 2019, all Sisk electricity in the UK and
Ireland will be procured from renewable sources. This will
lead to a carbon emissions reduction of 1,405 tonnes of
CO2, reducing the company’s overall emissions by 10
per cent – the equivalent of 300 cars being taken off the
road.
