BIOCORK2 The extent of interfaces has been to the forefront
of our planning since the outset of the
preconstruction stage. When all the scope is
considered, with the exception of a small portion
of the front elevation the construction works
interfaces / ties into the rest of the live
operational facility. The extent / significance of
this cannot be fully appreciated even from
this
aerial drone photography. We have even
rerouted the on-site exercise route out site twice,
carried out two road crossings on the main
incomes plant road operational 24 hours per day
and had to relocate the General Manager of
the plant from his office to facilitate the canteen
expansion construction. Detailed planning,
expansion
communication, contractor engagement and
hands on management are crucial for successful
and safe execution of these works, whilst
ensuring no impact on the operational facilities.
