you that way.
According to research conducted by Dr. Michael Barry for his book on forgiveness, “Just looking at cancer patients, over 60% have forgiveness issues, and of those, more than half are severe.”
So, how does it work? How does un-forgiveness actually make us sick? If you have a basic understanding of the order and laws of the universe, it is pretty easy to understand. Un-forgiveness is a strong, negative emotion. It works the same as hatred, creating a state of chronic anxiety in the body. This anxious state produces excess adrenaline and cortisol, which prevents the body from producing vital cancer fighting cells.
Other medical studies reveal that un-forgiveness disrupts nearly every bodily process.
Now, am I saying that every sick person is filled with anger, bitterness, and resentments? Absolutely not. But what I am saying is that living in un-forgiveness absolutely will negatively affect your health while it oppresses your mental ability to focus, experience peace, and live out a productive life.
Looking back at that person we sometimes think we are punishing by refusing to forgive them, they are definitely not the one who pays the price. You become the prisoner and you pay the price. So, if you’ve ever thought to yourself, “I’ll never forgive him/her for that,” you are reading this for a reason. Forgiveness is holding you back and it’s time to set yourself free.
