Page 79 - Life is a Fight for Territory
P. 79

Instead, I can sleep well at night because I realize that I have unlimited access to all of the ideas, creativity and solutions in existence because I’m hooked up to the circle of life. I’m a container, and as I am filled, I give to others.
It’s part of the realization that nothing is ours, yet everything is ours. This may seem like a difficult concept at first glance, but think about it. When you give your tithe or help out a person in need, can you feel prideful about that? No! Because the finances you gave were not yours to begin with. You and I are just stewards of money and material possessions. They are nothing more than tools used to do the work we were put here to do.
I like the way King David said it when he gave gold, silver and all types of precious stones to build the temple of God. He gave from his personal supply and he gave big! It was a ridiculous amount and he could have definitely been boastful about his gift. Instead, in 1 Chronicles 29:14 he said, “But who am I and what is my people that we should be able to give so willingly in this way? For all things come from You, so that we have given You what is already Yours.”
Wow! That will put an instant end to being prideful or thinking you’re a self-made man, won’t it? King David was one of the wealthiest people in history, but he knew who his source was, and when you understand that, you are living according to laws that will keep you from operating in fear, and instead tapping into limitless provision and supply.
Remember, you’re a river, not a reservoir. Step into the flow!
