501 only recognize failure as one of the pathways to attainment;
502 who make all conditions serve them, and who think strongly,
503 attempt fearlessly, and accomplish masterfully.
504 Having conceived of his purpose, a man should mentally
505 mark out a straight pathway to its achievement, looking
506 neither to the right nor to the left. Doubts and fears should
507 be rigorously excluded; they are disintegrating elements
508 which break up the straight line of effort, rendering it
509 crooked, ineffectual, useless.
510 Thoughts of doubt and fear never accomplish anything, and
511 never can. They always lead to failure. Purpose, energy,
512 power to do, and all strong thoughts cease when doubt and
513 fear creep in.
514 The will to do springs from the knowledge that we can do.
515 Doubt and fear are the great enemies of knowledge, and he
516 who encourages them, who does not slay them, thwarts
517 himself at every step.
