                    The Zen Equa�on: Integra�ng Yoga and SEL to Enhance Mathema�cal Understanding

               The Zen Equa�on introduces a research-based approach that integrates yoga-based Social and Emo�onal
               Learning (SEL) techniques into math instruc�on to strengthen students’ focus, problem-solving skills, and
                                             collabora�on efforts. General Interest

                              Students as Mathema�cians: Making Use of MP7 and MP8 in K-2

                    Fostering an environment in which students see themselves as mathema�cians is essen�al for
                  implemen�ng equitable mathema�cs instruc�on. Teachers can help by providing opportuni�es for
                    students to engage with the Standards for Mathema�cal Prac�ce (MPs). We will discuss how to
                          effec�vely promote the MPs in class, focusing on MP7 and MP8. Grades PreK - 2

                                     Metacogni�on in the Mathema�cs Classroom (3-5)
                Ever start off a math class by saying, “What did we do in math yesterday?”, only to be met with
                  blank stares? Ever wonder how to support students in thinking about their own thinking in
                  mathema�cs? In this session, we will explore instruc�onal rou�nes and strategies to engage
                                     students in metacogni�ve thinking skills.  Grades 3 – 5
