Words Mater: Mathema�cs Vocabulary Development for ML Learners
In this interac�ve session, experience vocabulary ac�vi�es designed to engage ML Learners with
academic vocabulary in the high school mathema�cs classroom. From vocabulary posters, online
games, card sorts, and choice boards, come learn how we helped our students prepare for the EOC for

Geometry That S�cks: Hands-On Methods for Teaching Concepts That Last
Manipula�ves play a vital role in helping students build conceptual understanding of abstract math
concepts. Par�cipants in this session will use Hand2Mind’s AngLegs to explore geometry concepts for
students in grades 2-4 Join us for hands-on learning as we explore shapes, angles, plane geometry, and

MATH MOTION AND NARRATIVE MATTER
This is a great hands-on ac�vity using technology for visual and kinesthe�c learners. The CBR2
(Calculator Based Ranger) mo�on detector connects directly to a TI-nspire graphing calculator. The
teachers will be able to walk a graph to various designs using the CBR. The teachers will match various
narra�ve to graphs. Grades 6 - 12
