Teens participated in the Literacy Café, an enthusiastic Karaoke Host Night activity. For the first time Graduating Seniors
provided Luncheon Presentations, which included there TTA experiences, college preparation, college choices and future
careers. Presenters were Teen Reginald Bailey III, Cardinal (Mentor-Lady Rosemary Johnson); Teen Allison Jackson, Cardinal
(Lady Yolanda Austin); Teen Lyric Carter-Perry, Milwaukee Chapter (Lady Catherine “Cat” Miles); Teen Devin Caesar, North
Shore Chicago Chapter (Lady Delores Clark); Teen Mary-Katherine Townsend, St. Louis Chapter (Lady Gladys Peters); Teen
Cassius Kurns, Jr., Will County Black Diamond (Mentor- Lady Michele Davis). 29 Graduating Seniors attended the
conference.
Teen Rahsaan Roberson-Teague, Area III 2nd Vice President (Milwaukee Chapter), participated in Disney’s Dream
Academy, March 8-11, 2018, at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, FL., with 100 selected students from across the country.
Steve Harvey, Yolanda Adams, Black-ish, Empire, Lion King Performers and the cast members from the Circle of Life, were a
part of the experience.
Area III will be represented at the Lady Vivien Coe Richard TTA Leadership Academy, in Houston, TX, in July, by Teen
Mariah Lewis, Will County Black Diamond; Teen Jelani Chisum, Chicago Chapter; Teen Peyton Fox, Lincoln Park Chicago
Chapter.
There were 181 Inductees for 2017-2018. Many of the Inductees attended the conference.
The 43rd Area III Leadership Conference will be held in St. Louis, MO, March 8-11, 2019.
