                 SCHMALZ EXTENDS OPERATOR HANDLE RANGE
SCHMALZ is expanding its modular system for
the JumboFlex vacuum tube lifter, with three
new operator handle – JumboFlex Safety+,
JumboFlex Easy-Release and JumboFlex Quick-Release – aiming to increase safety, and simplify or accelerate the handling process.
The Safety+ handle is designed to protect delicate workpieces when they are released with a two-hand operation. Disabled users can work safely with the handle, and there is also an option to adjust the lowering speed directly on the handle with a screw to provide additional protection.
The JumboFlex Easy-Release control system also has an additional release lever, but instead aims to reduce the residual vacuum as soon as the user presses the control button and auxiliary lever. This makes setting down the load easier, particularly when handling airtight objects or when using large suction cups.
Meanwhile, the JumboFlex Quick-Release achieves the opposite – the load can be released from any height. This product aims to “shorten the cycle time when robust workpieces need to be handled particularly quickly”, and the operator can actuate the lever at any lifting height.
Both the Easy-Release and Quick-Release handles are designed for only the largest JumboFlex configuration with a lift capacity of 50 kilograms, while the Safety+ can accommodate all ranges of the JumboFlex, including 20, 35 and 50 kilograms.

BRINGS COFFEE PACK
SOLUTION TO ANZ
Jet Technologies is introducing Vertical Form Fill Seal (VFFS) machinery to the Australia and New Zealand coffee industry, which is the first in the region to produce
and fill block-bottom gusset bags high speed.
The technology, made by Italian-based Goglio, also allows roasters to produce their own ‘block-bottom gusset bag’ without the
need to purchase this form of packaging as a pre-made bag.
“The capability to achieve the popular block-bottom design
in a cheaper and
more productive way for coffee brands is something we are very excited about,” said Jet Technologies general manager Daniel Malki.

“The block-bottom
design allows for
improved styling of product branding, which comes
advantage to brands wanting to stand out from others in the market.”
The machine is suited for high output coffee production environments and now can give brand owners the opportunity to simultaneously make and fill the block- bottom gusset bag in line with demand.
The design combines the functionality of a stand-up pouch “with all the benefits of a side gusset bag”, making the block- bottom gusset bag “ideal for packaging
a wide variety of coffee products such
as whole bean or ground bean coffee”.
“The coffee industry is extremely competitive, particularly in Australian and New Zealand, and today’s roasters strive to be leaders in sustainability and innovation. This means they need to be able to differentiate themselves on store shelves with a stylish and functional packaging design that stands out to consumers and maintains coffee flavour and freshness,” said Malki.
The Goglio VFFS Machine with block-bottom capability from Goglio is now available from Jet Technologies.

SCUM lines and shadowing from mixing blades or internal pipework can make tank cleaning difficult, but with the assistance of Tecpro’s new UKD Retractable Tank Washer, these issues have the potential to be quickly fixed.
The retractable tank washer does not interfere with mixing blades as only the hollow cone washing head is located within the tank, while the rest of the unit can sit outside the tank wall.
Its washing heads move through the tank to target hard to clean
areas thanks to a pneumatic drive. Due to its specialised design, the UKD Retractable Tank Washer allows for additional, short cleaning cycles to be programmed into the usual cleaning sequence.
Multiple short cycles “can be programmed to provide concentrated cleaning, as many times as required, over difficult points”.
Designed and manufactured in Italy, the UKD Retractable Tank Washer is made from AISI 316L stainless steel and EPDM, while the cleaning head is fixed with a tri-clamp “for easy access for servicing”.
The hollow cone washing heads has a standard 100l/pm capacity at three-bar, with
customised designs also available.
    HYSTER INTRODUCES COST-EFFICIENT FORKLIFT
THE new four-wheel Hyster electronic forklifts are set to be introduced to the Asia-Pacific region. They are designed for cost-efficient performance in a range of warehousing and logistics settings.
The UT Series range is for customers “seeking Hyster toughness, quality and strong service backing to cost-effectively tackle simple everyday materials handling needs”.
The forklifts feature an ergonomically designed operator compartment, allowing operators to work across a range of applications, such as food and beverage, frozen
produce and manufacturing.
“A small steering wheel facilitates fine control, with eight degrees of adjustment and low steering effort for operation in confined spaces. The low steering effort without kick-back facilitates precise positioning,” said Hyster area business director, Pacific, Mark Chaffey.
“Power options include wet cell batteries with single point watering or maintenance-free Lithium Ion technology. Smooth, progressive high performance is provided by AC traction and hydraulic motors with electronic control. European designed AC controllers are coupled with AC traction and hydraulic motors to allow for
precise controllability.”
