Welcoming students and families from the North Shore of Sydney and beyond for 22 years, The Conlan College is Sydney’s pre-eminent dance training facility for classical and contemporary dance. With a focus on individual instruction in classes (with small class sizes a key element of our ethos) we encourage students to strive for their personal best in a welcoming and nurturing environment.

The College boasts new, state of the art premises with six large studios, all with fully sprung floors, our own café, an in-house specialist dance physiotherapist, lockers and change room facilities all conveniently situated within a 5 minute walk of Pymble railway station.
COURSES
The College offers a choice of
two programs:
- Our traditional full time course for students aged 13-15 years old upon entry - A certificate IV in Dance (Elite Performance) followed by an Advanced Diploma in Dance (Elite Performance) for students who have completed year 10.
Most of The Conlan College’s students in the traditional full time program do their academic schooling through distance education or home schooling. Times during the week are allocated for school tutorial sessions.
Students completing their Certificate IV and Advanced Diploma are considered to be in full time training and are exempt from academic schooling.
Individual transition programs are available for younger students.
Main subjects: Vaganova classical and character, RAD, improvisation, contemporary, character, repertoire, choreography, pas de deux and open class. Practical dance classes per week: Approximately 35 hours, plus intensive one-on-one sessions.
Contact hours per day: 8am to 4pm including breaks, 5 days a week with optional Saturday mornings. Pre-requisites/entry requirements: Selection is by audition only, where upon the staff consider the student’s facility, personality and willingness to learn. Private auditions are available at any time. Please contact to arrange.

Audition date: Sunday 8th September Audition requirements: Students will attend an open class consisting of classical and contemporary dance.

Possible career options: Most students who graduate from The Conlan College gain entry into first class finishing schools around the world, or pre-professional, nationally recognised training course options for older students.
