The aim of the program is to prepare students for the challenges of working in a dance company. Dancers nowadays are required to be strong, versatile and able to work in a team.
Students are prepared for RAD, Cecchetti and Character exams, Eisteddfods, National and International pre-professional school auditions (predominantly for schools attached
to companies) and Company auditions. Studio Director, Olivia Jenkins, a former
professional dancer with Stadt Ballett Koblenz, holds a Distinction from the Professional Dancer’s Teaching Diploma, Royal Academy of Dance, London and a
BA in Professional Practice (Ballet) from Middlesex University London. She has been a Guest Teacher around the world including for the RAD International Summer Schools in Tokyo, Singapore, London and Italy. She taught the competition classes at the Isobel Anderson Awards 2016, daily ballet class at the Genee International Ballet Competition in Sydney 2016, the competition classes for the Sydney Eisteddfod Ballet Scholarship 2017 and guest taught at the International Ballet Workshops in Melbourne and on the Gold Coast and at Ibstage 2018.

Full-Time Ballet Program
Part Full-Time Ballet Program in conjunction with Australian Performing Arts School
Main subjects: Classical Open Class, Contemporary, Neo-classical Technique, Repertoire, Pointe, Male Technique, Pas de Deux, RAD Syllabus, Cecchetti Syllabus, Character (based on the Russian Igor Moiseyev method), Vaganova Ballet, Private Coaching, Lyrical, Jazz, Body Conditioning, Stretch Technique, PBT, Anatomy, Dance History, Choreography,
Injury Prevention, Progressing Ballet Technique and Visualisation.
Practical dance classes per week: Approx. 20 classes per week. Students are allowed to join the evening and weekend classes at no extra cost (if deemed appropriate by the Director). For a detailed timetable please contact Danceworks Sydney for a full timetable.

9am-4pm Monday - Friday
Pre-requisites/entry requirements:
Students must be entering Year 8 or above at academic level.
Main teachers: All teachers are former professional dancers.

Zac Jaffar (Singapore Dance Theatre). Audition date: Prospective students can apply throughout the year. Main intake is annually in late January.

Scholarships or subsidies: Scholarships are given to students who show outstanding potential and motivation. Possible career options: Full-Time students are preparing for professional careers in dance both nationally and internationally. Beyond the stage, after retirement from professional dance, there are many options open to trained dancers
- Artistic Directors, Choreographers, Repetiteurs, Teachers/Coaches,
Australia’s only dedicated 2-year full-time Advanced Diploma in Performing Arts.

Government Accredited Course: 10149NAT Advanced Diploma of Performing Arts exclusive to ED5INTERNATIONAL - RTO90036
Main subjects: Musical theatre, ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, acting, singing, harmonies, acrobatics, Pilates, yoga, performance coaching, music theory, audition technique, television/ film acting, repertoire, anatomy, nutrition and history of musical theatre. Students also receive a fortnightly private singing lesson.

Pre-requisites/entry requirements:
Applicants must be 16 years and over; preferably High School Certificate or equivalent; enthusiasm, drive and passion for the Performing Arts. All applicants must audition.
