CONVEYING A FULL RANGE OF MODELS
ENMIN says its Mi-Con modular conveyor is the first ever hygienically designed full wash-down system to offer multiple standardised components. It can be delivered partially or fully complete for quicker installation and commissioning, and is available in Plus, Mini and Reversing models.
Other Enmin conveyors include Accumulation, Bag Flattening and Compaction models.
Accumulation Conveyors serve two prime functions: the bulk storage of product and having the ability to slowly meter the product into subsequent handling operations.
Incorporating the Bag Flattening Conveyor into the conveyor line automatically shapes the filled bag using Enmin’s controlled vibration and pressure action while the Bag Compaction Conveyer helps with shaping and conditioning.

     HORIZONTAL FLOW
Multivac’s new W 500 universal flowpacking solution has been designed for a wide spectrum of applications and products. It is suited to the sustainable packaging of products such as minced meat, burgers, cevapcici, sausages, cheese and frozen fish. Bakery products such as baguettes, croissants, and pizzas, and many types of fruit and vegetables, can also be packaged securely in pillow packs with efficient material usage.
Multivac executive vice president of Tray & Pouch Packaging Kim Hüther said, “The main features of the W 500 flowpacker are its easy operation, cleaning, and maintenance, as well as an attractive price-to-performance ratio.
“It can be used as a stand-alone solution, or it can be integrated into an automated line.”
Precise servo drive technology ensures maximum speed and optimum process control. Products with a maximum width of 200 mm and a height of up to 120 mm can easily be packed with or without a tray.
Other features include the independent roller speed setting for crease-free longitudinal sealing, cross sealing thanks to precise and recipe-based control of sealing temperature and pressure, and an integrated gas analysis system for MAP packing with modified atmosphere.
It offers an output of up to 120 packs per minute or a film speed of up to 30 metres a min. Marking or labelling solutions can be integrated seamlessly.

KEY Technology introduces Veryx Digital Sorters for fresh cut, hydroponically grown leafy greens. Veryx sorters integrate with Iso-Flo vibratory conveyors to find and remove defective product and foreign material (FM) to improve product quality while simultaneously increasing yield.
Key director of Marketing Marco Azzaretti said demand for hydroponic leafy greens is skyrocketing. “Hydroponic greens are a premium product, typically costing two or three times the price of traditional, field-raised greens. Hydroponic growers must consistently achieve the best quality to meet their customers’ high expectations. They want every single leaf to be perfect,” Azzaretti said.
Veryx is the only belt-fed leafy greens sorter that can inspect product entirely in-air with top and bottom sensors to see all sides of the
product with no blind spots, enabling Veryx to eliminate more FM and defects.
It can also be equipped with Key’s proprietary Pixel Fusion technology, which combines pixel-level input from multiple cameras and laser scanners to create a unique, unambiguous ‘signature’ for each type of substance in the product stream.
SYSTEM BUILDERS CAN KEEP A COOL HEAD
THE Wenglor INTT Inductive Sensors for Extreme Temperature ranges from Treotham detect metallic objects without contact at ambient temperatures up to 250°C.
The new INTT series has two new features that make it even more flexible and robust. For dynamic applications in hot areas, system builders can now choose from flexible cables and simple push/pull connectors. The plug-in sensor heads are therefore easy to replace.
The analysis module is also located directly in the M12 sensor plug. This offers added value for users who design or operate drying ovens for paint or surface coatings, for example.
INTT Inductive Sensors for Extreme Temperature Ranges have a long service life of up to five years. If the sensors need to be replaced due to mechanical damage, the new series can be replaced in just one simple movement, even at high heat.
The sensors have a temperature range between -10°C and +250°C and large switching distances between 15-40 mm. The PWIS-free INTT series from Treotham can be
parameterised via an IO-Link interface.
Thanks to the integrated weproTec technology, several sensors can be installed directly next to each other in the tightest of spaces without interfering with each other.
