A new way
to monitor
transmitters
INOR PROCESS AB has announced a whole new way to configure and monitor temperature transmitters without supply voltage and cables.
Operators can connect to the transmitter with a smartphone or tablet using near-field communication (NFC) or Bluetooth and config- ure through the new INOR Connect app.
Using wireless communication means opera- tors never need to remove the signal converter from the process. Now available are the INOR 330 series temperature transmitters, and the INOR 530 series, fully compatible with HART 7.
With the intuitive and easy-to-use interface of the INOR Connect app, configuring a transmit- ter has never been easier, the company said.
INOR Connect offers the same great configura- tion options as INOR’s existing ConSoft transmitter software, but with an even more user-friendly inter- face. INOR Connect offers automatic updates, so users will always have the latest available features.
The app also has quick links to product pages for a wide range of signal converters. INOR Con- nect is available for Android and iOS devices (Bluetooth only).
The IPAQ 330 and 530 series are fully isolated and compatible with RTD, thermocouples, volt- age and potentiometer sensors, offering maxi- mum flexibility. Fully compatible with HART 7, the INOR 530 series offers extended diagnostic in- formation, making it reliable and highly precise.
Founded in 1939, INOR is a division of KROH- NE, a global manufacturer of flow and level measuring instruments. Email INOR-Info@ krohne.com.

Smart building training program
KNXtrain is a worldwide training program for smart homes and buildings.
AS THE WORLD’S leading standard, KNX has been instrumental in shaping the multi- billion dollar global market for smart home and smart building solutions.
With its new worldwide training program #KNXtrain, users and professionals can now jump on the bandwagon of intelligent build- ing networking.
KNX Association president, Franz Kammerl, said since the introduction of KNX almost 30 years ago, training has been an integral part of KNX’s continued success.
“We are therefore proud to launch #KNX- train, the world’s largest training program in the smart building sector,” he said.
#KNXtrain offers its “passengers” access to a variety of training options designed for both novice and experienced KNX users.
Further to hands-on training sessions held in the 470 KNX training centres, #KNX- train also includes online training, events and webinars.
To keep an eye on the comprehensive offer, “Start@KNX” presents all training options and provides interested parties and participants with appropriate accompanying materials.
Together with the numerous online train- ing courses, KNX’s 470 certified training cen- tres have already trained and certified over 80,000 users and professionals for the specifi-
cation and installation of KNX systems. From basic courses that introduce begin- ners to KNX technology and ETS (Engineering Tool Software), to advanced courses to deepen KNX knowledge and instructor courses, par- ticipants chose their training centre and en- gage in direct conversations with experienced
KNX experts.
Of course, the #KNXtrain must also feature
an “online training wagon”, where newcomers will learn the basics and use the ETS eCampus, free of charge.
The web-based learning platform gives par- ticipants comprehensive insights into the KNX technology and the planning and commission- ing tool ETS. Once the ETS eCampus is suc- cessfully completed, participants will receive a complimentary ETS Lite license voucher.
Self-study is also possible with the help of train- ing documents from KNX. All documents are available for download free of charge on the KNX website. Further reading can also be ordered with just a few clicks via the MyKNX account.
