KLOCKNER Pentaplast (KP Australia), a leading local food packaging manufacturer that makes sustainable packaging for the fresh food sector, will be exhibiting at this year’s AUSPACK event, putting a spotlight on its sustainability credentials.
KP Australia is focused on deliver- ing sustainable protection for every- day needs with innovative films and trays that provide the ultimate in prod- uct safety, help avoid food waste and extend shelf life.
Several of the company’s innova- tions will be on show at AUSPACK.
First up, the KP Elite, which offers a modified atmosphere packaging (MAP) solution for fresh protein that delivers end-to-end sustainability.
The award-winning product is made with up to 100 per cent recycled PET, which is recyclable, highly efficient, reduces food waste, and extends shelf life.
The KP Evolve will also be on stand,
which is the company’s vacuum skin tray packaging solution that uses up to 100 per cent post-consumer recy- cled PET. It also preserves taste and texture and extends shelf-life.
Visitors can also check out the KP MonoSeal, the company’s top range of sustainable PET base rigid film for form, fill and seal applications.
KP MonoSeal is a mono PET film that is fully recyclable, with the stron- gest sealing capability in the market and is seven per cent lighter than multi-layer films. It is perfect for fresh food applications – from protein to and cheese to pasta.
Finally, the company’s KP Zapora will also be highlighted, which is its innovative padless tray technology, cleverly designed to remove the need for absorbent pads for fresh cuts of protein.
The features in the base of the tray capture and retain liquid, and it is more sustainable because it’s easy to rinse and recycle without any mess.
