SUNTORY CRAFTS KOYOMI FOR AUSSIES
Coca-Cola Amatil is the Australian distributor introducing Beam Suntory's newly created highball premix range, Koyomi Highball.
Just as Japanese whiskies have proven to be popular among Australian consumers, Koyomi Highball has Japanese Shochu as its base and is predicted to be met with a similarly warm reception in the Australian market.
Shochu is a white spirit popular in Japan. The Koyomi Highball, however, is not simply a beverage imported from Japan, but has been crafted
BEAK & SONS BEEFS UP WITH BRISKET
Pulled brisket fans can now find a new addition in stores, with Beak & Sons releasing its latest Beefy Burger with Pulled Brisket, made from 100 per cent beef.
The new patty is also gluten free and contains no artificial flavours, colours or MSG, and aims to add “a more premium twist” in flavour.
Beak & Sons Beefy Burger with Pulled Brisket combines Australian beef patties with slow cooked beef brisket, with hints of spices and sauteed onions.
“We worked incredibly hard to make this one of the tastiest gourmet burgers available, and we are sure that once you taste our beefy burger you will fall in love,” said Sharon Addington, Beak & Sons.
“Preparing brisket from scratch is time consuming and can take some skill. We have done the hard work for you by slow cooking our beefy brisket in our signature BBQ sauce blend for six hours. The result is a ready to serve gourmet burger fit for a

ORGANIC COCONUT OILS ENTER THE AISLES
Murray River Organics (MRO) has introduced a new range of coconut oils under its Pacific Organics brand. The health credentials and benefits of coconut oil led to the creation of the new range. MRO chief marketing officer Tara Lordsmith said coconut oil can aid digestion and boost immunity. “There are studies that have shown coconut oil can raise blood levels of good HDL cholesterol, which is linked to improved metabolic health and a lower risk of heart disease,” she said.
The new range is available in three flavours – Garlic, Chilli and Ginger – with each flavour chosen specifically for both its health benefits as well as taste.
“Chilli is beneficial to boosting immunity and clearing congestion, garlic contains antioxidants and improves bone health, and ginger assists in treating forms of nausea and lowering blood sugar levels,” said Lordsmith.
“What’s more, coconut oil has a relatively low smoke point compared to other commonly used cooking fats, so it’s perfectly suitable for sautéing, baking, roasting, and even frying.”
The Pacific Organics coconut oil range will be rolling out in stores over the coming weeks.
Mixed Nuts range.
“We have added two more formats to our range of
nuts that have been specially crafted to deliver a delicious, indulgent snack for our consumers,” said Red Rock Deli senior brand manager Lauren Mather.
The Roasted Mixed Nuts varieties are roasted and coated with gourmet deli inspired flavours, while the Glazed Nuts are combined with dried fruit and then glazed with syrup.
Red Rock Deli Mixed Nuts are available in two flavours – Balsamic Vinegar and Chilli, and Caramelised Garlic and Lemon – as well as for the Glazed Nuts range, with Honey, Vanilla and Cranberries, and Cinnamon and Apple Crumble.
The new nuts range is available Australia-wide in Coles and Woolworths, and select independent and convenience stores, in a 100g pack RRP$3.99.
