   Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing from Starleaton
Industry supplier Starleaton will have a packed stand that it will be presenting under Sustainable Advanced Manufacturing, and will be showing its latest hardware, software and media. PacPrint will also see the launch of the company’s new Jumpstart initiative.
At the show the Starleaton will be highlighting sustainable materials, with paper and paper- based boards, and PVC free vinyl from 3M and Neschen, and sustainable manufacturing.
Ines Eaton, marketing manager
at Starleaton said, “Sustainable manufacturing means taking advantage of the independency of automation and in-house micro factories, helping businesses to become less reliant on external systems and suppliers, and having the ability to manufacture custom printed goods and short runs quickly.”
Starleaton actually supplies to more than just the print sector, it is also part of the advanced manufacturing sector including defence, bio-medical, mining, aerospace and renewables.
On the stand floor Starleaton will have a Swiss manufactured Zünd cutting system, routing and cutting a wide range of materials, with Zünd software to tie everything into a smart and automated print and cut workflow.
The new Neschen ColdLam 1650 laminator, designed for mounting and laminating up to 1650 mm width, will also be on show. This machine includes a heated top roller,

fully adjustable up to 70°C, for enhanced lamination.
In wide format print hardware Starleaton will have the Canon Colorado 1650. With well over 1000 installations worldwide, Canon’s Colorado roll-to-roll printer series is recognised as a solution for a large variety of wide-format applications. The Colorado 1650 printer is an award-winning roll-to-roll printer featuring what Canon says is “a flexible, yet robust ink set and FLXfinish, a new approach to LED curing that allows the user to choose between matte or gloss modes for each individual print”. This means customers can achieve different aesthetic finishes without the need to change inks or media.
There will also be a quartet of Epson print systems on the booth, including the Epson R5000, the Epson S80600, the Epson V7000, and an Epson P-Series printer. The flatbed UV Epson SureColor V7000 prints in 10-colour UltraChrome UV Ink and is Epson’s first UV flatbed printer, and can print on a variety of rigid substrates up to 7.5cm thick.
The new resin ink SureColor R5000 comes with what the company says is a high colour gamut and
the gradient tone range, the latter thanks to the variable sized droplets.

The resin ink means the prints are ready for lamination virtually as soon as they come off the press. They will compete in the latex space.
All Neschen PVC free media will be on show, including Easy Dot PP for waterbased printers, Easy Dot PP UV, Easy Dot PET L-UV, Wall Grip PP L-UV, Neschen Wallpaper L-UV Adhesive. The Neenah Coldenhove transfer paper for dye-sublimation transfer printing will also be highlighted.
The sustainable Easy Dot PP range includes graphics media, wallpapers, and laminates, and Easy Dot PET L-UV, a 75-micron polyester film manufactured from 25 per cent post- consumer recycled (PCR) content.
With Easy Dot to Wall-Grip,
from floor and window graphics
to wallpapers and wallcoverings, protective laminates to mounting films, Eaton says Neschen has a PVC- free option for “almost any interior or short-term exterior application”.
The company says it is easy to install and remove, and is suited for promotional graphics on windows, walls and floors.
The new Easy Dot PET L-UV is for latex and UV-Curable technology, Easy Dot PP matt WB is for water- based and HP Indigo printing, while Easy Dot PP matt UV is for UV- curable technology.
In addition, Starleaton is now supplying the latest Neschen Green Wall range of self-adhesive wall coverings. 21
