   TEA FUELLED WITH NITROGEN
A nitrogen-infused cold-brew tea is the new “beer-like alternative” from Melbourne- based tea brand East Forged entering the market in time for Dry July.
The beverage process combines premium loose-leaf tea with an injection of nitrogen bubble to develop a cold tea-based drink with a crisp, dry flavour and beer-like appearance and texture without the alcohol.
“Like yoga and meditation, the ‘mindful drinking’ movement has been around for a few years, but it’s really gathered momentum in recent months,” said East Forged co-owner Tania Stacey.
“Our customers tell us they’re deliberately choosing to limit their alcohol intake and looking forward to a month or longer off the booze entirely.
“While there are lots of non-alcoholic options available, ours is the only beer-like alternative on the market that’s low in sugar and calories. Aside from the delicate
  FAMOUS SODA CO
LAUNCHES OWN COLA
After 12 months of R&D, creating, testing and tasting hundreds of recipes, the Famous Soda Co family has welcomed its latest addition: Famous Cola.
Famous Soda Co CEO Michael Pillon said: “We heard our customers and we answered. Sometimes you just need, even crave, that refreshing taste of cola, so we set out to make a better-for-you version that’s a healthier, natural, zero sugar alternative.
“Heaps of hours and a lot of love went into getting this just right.”

and sophisticated flavour profiles, it’s these added health benefits that our fans are enjoying most and getting excited about.”
There are three brews available in the range – black, green and white tea – which are infused with fruits such as Yuzu, Pitaya and Calamansi.
The East Forged brews come in 15-can cases or three-pack tasters, and can be found in selected breweries, cafes and retailers in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland, as well as online.
The flavour profile has tiny bubbles of vanilla and cinnamon, delivering a natural source of sweetness
that is expected in a cola. It has “extra zing” with overtones of citrus oil, ginger and cassia.
The soda is Australian made, 100 per cent natural ingredients, no nasty sweeteners, less
than one per cent caffeine, zero sugar and only eight calories per bottle.
Pillon said: “We want people to be good to themselves and to think what you drink.”
It joins the Famous Cola Co range: Pink Lemonade, Passionfruit, Blood Orange, Lemon, and Ginger Beer.

The range has four flavours which are caffeine
free with no added sugar. Jane said: “I wanted children to relate to the flavours, so I decided to create flavours they already knew to having flavours that are seen as appealing, but in a healthy form.”
The flavour infusions are: Lemonade – natural lemon peel and lemon myrtle; Fairy Floss – maple flakes and rose petals; Tropical – orange, pineapple, and blood orange; and Grape Bubblegum – grape and blueberry.
Tiny Tea Kids comes in a pack of 14 tea bags for $23.95, which is around $1.70 per bag. “That is a fraction of the price compared to other healthy and unhealthy drink options for children on the go,” Janes said.
The Tiny Tea Kids range is available worldwide through Tiny Tea Kids’ website.

A new beverage from Nescafé is made from upcycled coffee berry husks mixed with Australian botanicals. Nativ Cascara is available in three flavours and can be uses on its own or as a mixer.
Nativ is a caffeinated beverage made in Australia from 99 per cent Australian ingredients, with cascara husks sourced from Mexican and Bolivian coffee farms. The beverages are bottled in recyclable packaging with paper labels.
Cascara is the husk that is removed when farmers sun-dry coffee berries. It is normally thrown away, so this upcycling process not only reduces waste but provides growers with a new revenue stream. The range has three flavours: Classic, Kakadu Plum and Lemon Myrtle & Pepperberry, made in Australia using 99 per cent local ingredients
Nestlé eBSM director Martin Brown said consumers are increasingly seeking out food and beverages that have their own story and flavour.
“It’s entirely unique to Australia, using local native ingredients and the upcycled coffee berry husk from the coffee farming process to create a refreshing ready-to-drink caffeinated beverage which can really be enjoyed in any social occasion,” Brown said.
The Nescafé Nativ Cascara range is available in supermarkets and online at Amazon for RRP $4.50.
