                 Seafood and eat it
A S Harrison & Co Seafood Powders provide food manufacturers with a versatile alternative to fresh seafood, all responsibly harvested and certified.
A S Harrison & Co Seafood Powders are made with 100 per cent natural, premium, wild caught seafood from the clean waters of the North Atlantic Ocean and Barents Sea.
All raw materials are responsibly harvested to ensure that protection of reef life is at the core of the operation. Harvesting operations are sustainably sourced and fully traceable, avoiding mixing non-certified harvested products and providing assurance for product labelling.
The harvesting process is certified by MSC (Marine Stewardship Council Certification), which supports
seafood chain sustainability and monitoring of environmental issues.
The A S Harrison & Co range of Seafood Powders are varied and include Shrimp, Prawn, Codfish, Whitefish, Crab, Lobster and Salmon.
The seafood powders are manufactured in a facility certified under BRC and HACCP, with all products Halal Certified.
The key to creating these high-quality enriched seafood powders is the freshness of the raw material, and state-of-the- art manufacturing processes which enables the product to retain the powerful seafood volatiles that every seafood lover craves.
The magic is in the process of cooking the product to its optimum temperature, drying, micro milling and sieving to create a free- flowing fine powder. This process provides a lengthy shelf stable life of 24 months for the products.
The fine seafood powders typically have a particle size of 0.5mm, which makes them versatile and ideal for

Debono says consumer convenience can also be measured based on end-of-life outcome for packaging. While the collection rates for flexible packaging remains low compared to other formats, resealable zippers on flexible packaging are mainly PE, he says, so they are well positioned for recycling streams such as REDcycle for material re-purposing.
“As flexibles look to transition to mono structures, we are also ready with suitable resealable zippers to align with the transition from a linear to a circular economy,” he says.
Across the ANZ market there are businesses and brand owners who, over the years, have invested in equipment without zipper reclosure functionality, according to Debono. He says while some of those brand owners, and those investing in new equipment now, who think the technology remains out of their reach, there are solutions. Equipment can be retrofitted
