FIND THE MVP
OF MONITORS
THE MVP Icon from the Australasian Medical & Scientific Limited (AMSL) Scientific Division is a system providing true HACCP management capabilities.
It features advanced photon counting sensor (PCS) technology to provide accuracy for users, as well as sensitivity and reproducibility for ATP, pH, temperature, conductivity, and concentration.
The innovative design is sleek, lightweight and features an easy-to-use touch screen interface.
AMSL supplies a range of smart tools to help manufacturers monitor their HACCP programs.
The company has a variety of food safety products including laboratory equipment and consumables, hygiene monitoring tools, rapid pathogen test kits and food allergen test kits.

MEETING HYGIENE STANDARDS
WHILE food safety has always been vital for food manufacturers, the importance of hygienic production processes has increased significantly in recent years.
Supply chains within the fresh food sector have become more complex, the rise of ready-made foods has increased, contract packing for supermarkets has become more common and changes in product packaging are rapidly evolving.
All of these factors mean any food contamination issue becomes not just a health and safety problem, but has major impacts to a company’s reputation and operating costs, and may even threaten losses in the customer base.
A key way to minimise the risk of food contamination is to ensure production equipment is cleaned regularly and is designed specifically to meet hygienic standards.
It is critical to select equipment that is designed to be easy to disassemble for cleaning
and that
reduces f lat
surfaces, cavities,
voids and other
nooks and crannies
where bacteria can
persist and breed –
thereby risking the food safety status of your product.
The Hygenius conveyor system, supplied by Australis Engineering, has been designed from first principles to meet stringent European Hygienic Engineering and Design Group (EHEDG) requirements.
The design purposefully reduces the materials used to assemble the conveyor in order to reduce surfaces where bacteria can accumulate. It is designed with Volta belts and other components such as motors, bearings and feet that are EHEDG certified as hygienic.
Importantly, Hygenius conveyors are designed to be

easy to disassemble (and reassemble) for cleaning, resulting in clear access to all parts of the conveyor for cleaning and disinfection. In fact, a user can disassemble a straight-run Hygenius conveyor module in 60 seconds.
Hygenius conveyors are fabricated in stainless steel and 100 per cent washdown ready. The conveyors are ideal for handling raw meat, poultry, seafood, smallgoods, fruit, vegetables or any unpackaged, raw food.

    ADOPTING TEMPERATURE CONSISTENCY
BOC will be showcasing its patented ACCU- CHILL LX technology, allowing producers to achieve consistent temperatures during blending with the highest efficiency and industry-leading hygiene.
BOC is the pioneer of “bottom injection” for mixer blenders, which was developed in the early 1970s. Since then, it has continued to innovate and deliver solutions such as Torque Control, which allows users to deliver consistent batch temperature outputs for improved forming.
Producers using the patented ACCU-CHILL LX

technology will have the choice of using carbon dioxide or nitrogen without the need to change nozzles. With its self-closing mechanism, the risk of blocked nozzles is eliminated, while providing the highest level of hygiene and reducing the risk of contamination between batches.
The ACCU-CHILL LX nozzles will be on show at foodpro, where attendees can speak with qualified personnel from BOC, who can demonstrate the benefits of adopting this technology.
BOC’s personnel will also be able to discuss the benefits of cryogenic freezing for all food
products and applications. The team can take you through the latest innovation in freezing technology released by BOC: the Cryoline CWI Multi-purpose freezer.
This newly developed freezer is the next generation of IQF freezers, combining BOC’s patented Cryowave freezing action with its Top Down Impingement technology. It provides the highest efficiency and throughput of up to four tonnes/hour in a small footprint. W: www.boc.com.au
