THE GOOD SEED HAS YOUR GUT SORTED
The Good Seed has developed a prebiotic better-for-you carbonated beverage range called Sorted. The fibre rich drink comes in three flavours – Watermelon & Mint, Blood Orange, and Blackcurrant.
The Good Seed founders Ivy Ong and Adrian Soon worked with food scientists to develop the range, based on the latest research into the microbiome and digestion.
Sorted is made with all-natural ingredients that are scientifically proven to support and encourage your gut microbiome to grow and flourish with good bacteria. Its ingredients include Acacia Gum, a prebiotic fibre, and a protein-based sweetener to avoid blood sugar and insulin spikes.
It is suitable for diabetics, as well as gluten-free, FODMAP, keto and vegan diets. It can help lower cholesterol levels and control blood sugar levels, the pair said.

      YOUFOODZ NEW RANGE
IS FUEL’D FOR MEN
Fresh ready meal manufacturer Youfoodz has launched a high
BLENDED BOTANICALS FOR A FRESH FLAVOUR
New alcohol brand Tanica joins the growing blended botanical spirits category. Using a neutral blended spirit with native and natural Australian ingredients,
protein meal range – Fuel’d, targeting male consumers. F1 racing star Daniel Ricciardo is the face of the brand.
Youfoodz founder and CEO Lance Giles said the company undertook extensive research before developing the brand “from the ground up”. Male customers were looking for larger portion sizes and higher protein levels, he said.
Giles said: “The range has been developed specifically for the male ready-made consumer who is looking for higher levels of protein and an overall bigger portion size, while still maintaining that famous Youfoodz taste. It’s been a huge business-wide effort and I’m absolutely delighted with the result.”
For Ricciardo, known for drinking from a sweaty racing boot, Fuel’d provides a tastier and more nutritious option. His top three meals are the Steak, Chips & Gravy; Jerk Chicken & Rice; and Salmon Fettuccine.
The range will be stocked at supermarkets, convenience stores and petrol stations at a RRP of $10.95.
Founders Kate Napier and Jo Ingleton launched the drink to join the rapidly increasing lower strength alcohol market.
“We’re outsiders to the category with a good eye for detail, we noticed a real trend for more mindful drinking, so we’ve approached Tanica from a completely different perspective,” said Napier.
After losing interest in ready-to-drink options and wine, the pair decided they could create something better. The Salted Plum & Ginger and Desert Lime & Thyme flavours came after months of research.
Using a blend of plum and a sprinkle of Murray River pink salt, the Salted Plum & Ginger has a rosé blush and wild strawberry gum from Western Australia. Its refreshing profile is heightened by ginger and a sweetness from organic sugar cane. The Desert Lime & Thyme delivers citrus packed flavour through the combination of yuzu juice, native desert lime puree, thyme and elderflower.
Ideally served over ice, as a spritz or in a cocktail, the RTD is 54 calories per serve and contains significantly less alcohol than a standard drink, with 10 per cent ABV in a 700ml bottle.
Tanica is available online through its website and Noble Spirits for RRP $58.
