Fujitsu General restructures for strategic growth
FUJITSU GENERAL AUSTRALIA has pro- moted Dave Smith to the role of director of sales, marketing and product as part of a na- tional restructure.
The company has streamlined its national sales team with the focus on channel growth and support.
Fujitsu General Australia managing director, Philip Perham, said Smith’s promotion is recog- nition of the enormous contribution he has made over the past six years in reshaping the structure and activities of the sales and marketing team.
“EACH OF THESE APPOINTMENTS WILL PLAY
A KEY ROLE IN DRIVING NEW BUSINESS.” – DIRECTOR, DAVE SMITH.
“Dave has delivered time after time with both sales and financial results in an increasingly competitive market,” Perham said.
The restructure has included the appointment of Peter Cashel to head of sales, and the creation of two dedicated national roles for the commer- cial and dealer channels.
Ronnie Hinch is now
the national commercial manager, and John Bourke
has returned to Australia’s Favourite Air to take on the role of national dealer manager.
“This new approach provides
Fujitsu General with an out- standing team of highly experi-
enced air conditioning professionals,
who have extensive knowledge of the in- dustry, project development and prod- ucts,” Smith said.
“Fujitsu General is fortunate to have so much talent within its sales team. Together Peter, Ronnie and John have more than 50 years’ ex- perience in the industry; most of those have been with Fujitsu.
“The business is very excited about moving forward with this new structure, focus and sup- port for the commercial channel and our valua- ble dealer partners.”
Changes to the sales team encompass the role of national retail manager. Late last year George Tsiotras was appointed to the posi- tion of national retail manager following the promotion of his predecessor, Edward Jack- son, to the position of Fujitsu General’s state manager – Victoria and Tasmania.
In addition to the appoint- ment of Peter Cashel as head of sales, two dedicated national roles have been created
for the commercial and dealer channels.
“Each of these appointments plays a key role in driving new business and contributing to Fu- jitsu General’s continued growth across Aus-
tralia,” Smith said.
“I am very proud of the team, who all actively
contribute to improving sales processes, while continuing to grow established and new part- nerships across the channel.”

    Fresh approach to standards
 Hisense achieves certification.
THE QUALITY ASSURANCE Organiza- tion of Japan (JQA) has confirmed that the Hisense Fresh Master air conditioner is the first unit in the world to achieve fresh air certification.
To comply with the standard the Chi- nese-made air conditioner had to pass a series of professional tests.
The test results of JQA show that Hisense X8 Split floor type air condi- tioner and Hisense X8 Split wall type air conditioner can meet the “stringent” in- dustry standards in the Japanese mar- ket in terms of the two core indicators of ‘Air Volume’ and ‘CO2 Reduction Rate’.
Hisense Fresh Master X8 Split floor
type air conditioner combines air condi- tioning, fresh air and purification into one product. The fresh air volume can reach 150 m3/h.
It can effectively reduce the indoor carbon dioxide concentration and in- crease the oxygen content in three min- utes, and effectively remove the H1N1 influenza virus and HFMD EV71 virus, Hisense said in a statement.
“Since the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, more customers have realised the importance of indoor air health, and Fresh Master air conditioner has gradu- ally become the first choice for people to buy,” the company said.
