     Future of hydrogen ready boilers
A PRESENTATION ON the future of hydrogen ready boilers in Australia will be presented by Hy- droheat chief commercial officer, Shane Lewis.
The session will include a case study on the Deakin University Warrnambool campus hydro- gen conversion project.
Lewis has many years experience in hydro- gen/gas systems deployments both in Australia and the European Union.
The timely presentation will be delivered on day three of the ARBS seminar program at a time when Australia is developing its very own hydro- gen industry.
Just last month the CSIRO launched the Hy- drogen Knowledge Centre to foster collaboration between the growing Australian hydrogen in-
dustry, government and research and develop- ment (R&D) ecosystems, by providing regularly updated information on policies, projects, re- search and resources.
CSIRO CEO, Dr Larry Marshall said Australia is well placed to use hydrogen to create billions of dollars of GDP growth through long-lasting jobs, exports and domestic use, while helping drive down emissions.
“CSIRO began research into hydrogen fuel to help catalyse a new industry in Australia that would fill the economic gap being created by the transition away from fossil fuels. Australia is now realising the potential for hydrogen to re- duce its emissions and create new economic wealth, thanks to early investment in research,”
Marshall said.
“With a strong coali-
tion of partners from gov- ernment, research and industry, we launched our Hydrogen Industry Mission last year.

export and domestic use could generate signifi- cant economic growth while helping drive down emissions.”
Marshall said the Hydrogen Knowledge Cen- tre will be a central point of critical information for hydrogen R&D in Australia.
Across the Hydrogen Knowledge Centre, users can access a broad range of information, from in- teractive modelling tools forecasting the future cost of hydrogen, based on technology deploy- ment and energy use, through to educational re- sources explaining the basics of hydrogen and its use in the energy mix.
A new industry map, which is also part of the knowledge centre, will highlight all of the cur- rent projects across Australia, and allow users to filter searches by project proponents, end-use and development status.
CSIRO Hydrogen Industry Mission spokesper- son, Dr Vicky Au, said the new map showed 85 of current hydrogen projects being driven by indus- try across Australia.
“As the clean hydrogen industry continues to develop and evolve, it is our hope that the Hydro- gen Knowledge Centre can continue to be a rele- vant and valuable resource in Australia and in- ternationally,” she said.
Federal Minister for Industry and Science, Ed Husic, said the government estimates the Aus- tralian hydrogen production for export and do- mestic use could generate more than $50 billion in additional GDP by 2050.

STAND NUMBER 432/436
ARBS IS BACK again this year with an outstanding line-up of the indus- try’s latest technologies and services. It will be great to re-connect and con- tinue discussions again through this unique event. Testo will also be show- casing its comprehensive, German en- gineered range of smart measuring technologies and we certainly hope to see you at the Testo stand (#432/436) for product demos, knowledge share and a chat.
What’s new at Testo?
We have recently introduced the world’s first automatic wireless re- frigerant scale the testo 560i, that can charge to specific target values: weight, superheat or subcooling. Be
one of the first to discover this inno- vation and see how it can benefit you. We will also be showcasing our popular and intuitive range of meas- uring instrumentation for numerous
applications.
• Refrigeration manifolds + smart
probes
• IAQ, climate and ventilation moni-
toring instruments
• Gas and refrigerant leak detectors • Thermal imagers for building and
facility maintenance
• Flue gas analysers ... and more.
We welcome you to come and visit Testo at ARBS (Stand# 432/436) and enjoy the experience. w: testo.com. au t: 1300 837 861
