The show has provided a good platform to re-engage with the wider packaging community and exhibitor colleagues.”
On the Sidel stand, Richard Persaud, vice-president of sales dis- cussed the company’s automated production lines, and displayed bot- tles made from lightweight PET, stiff base PET, and a labelless 100 per cent rPET bottle with embossed text.
James Poulsen, general manager of sales and procurement for Signet took us on a tour of the stand, where he high- lighted the company’s sustainability credentials for its packaging solutions, including products for paper-based tape, void-fill products, primary wrap- ping solutions, as well as the Lantech stretch wrapper, a brand that the com- pany distributes in Australia.
On display at the PFG Group stand was the company’s range of plastic pallets, bins and tubs, which provide businesses with hygienic, long-term alternatives to traditional palletising products. PFG’s operations manager Mark Medew ran through the structural integrity of PFG products, confirming that they are moulded in polyethylene, contain an internal steel structure, are available in a range of colours, and can be manufactured in short runs.
MACHINERY & ROBOTICS:
FAR AND WIDE

The com- pany’s cap inspection, pallet barcode camera reader, and dimension sizing technology were also highlighted.
