a compact footprint, and is designed for companies who want to produce large-format colour drawings and posters in moderate to high volume. One of the world’s biggest graphic arts technology developers will have a large stand at Fespa, where it will show a range of print solutions including its new range.
The Acuity Ultra R2 is a high-quality, high productivity super- wide platform, using Fujifilm’s Uvijet UV inks, and available
in LED and Mercury curing configurations. The Acuity Ultra
R2 is designed with specialist inks to support the printing of near-photographic interior graphics and high-speed printing for banners and PVC signs.
The Acuity Prime is, according to Fujifilm, a “flatbed printer with outstanding image

range of rigid and flexible media.” It is supported by its five dedicated vacuum zones and jettable primer.
EFI: Fespa
Represented in Australia and
New Zealand by Currie Group,
EFI will have a quartet of wide format print systems on display
at this year’s Fespa. They include the Pro 30h, a 3.2-metre hybrid flatbed / roll-fed LED entry-level production printer. The new EFI Pro 30H can print to a diverse array of substrates, both rigid and flexible, using environmentally-friendly LED imaging technology to produce image quality, which Currie Group says helps businesses extend
their capabilities into the sign and display space, with a “versatile, productive machine at an attractive price point”.
Also on display will be the fabric printer FabriVU 340i+, and two Vutek models, the h5, and the Q3r+ which goes from rip to finished product on the same platform, it encompasses automatic in-line quality inspection, inline slitting and cutting, roll and tape, as well as the printing.
Europoles: Visual Impact
A recycled, recyclable modular truss system for displays will likely be on the Europoles stand. Peter Wagener, MD Europoles, says the truss system is gaining a lot of interest from visitors looking to use more sustainable products. All the Europoles fabrics are made from recycled yarn, and fully recyclable.
The company’s range of Vario display systems, outdoor items, tents, umbrellas branded chairs, pop up lightboxes, flags, textile items and signage, all made in Europe, will also likely be on display.
Hexachrome: Fespa
Media manfacturer Hexis will have its entire booth – floor, walls, tables – all printed with its wide range of media, as the company aims to show print
businesses where new opportunities are to be found. Among the innovations on the booth will be a range of laminates that the company says will enable any print service provider to go to market with a cost- effective proposition for interiors.
