EXHIBITIONS | WIDE FORMAT PRINTING |
   Smartech: Visual Impact
Solutions supplier Smartech will have a range of equipment from HP at Visual Impact, including the HP Latex HP printers, the HP Latex Print & Cut, the HP Latex Flatbed, and the HP Print OS on its stand. In addition it will have the Epson SureColor. It also supplies finishing solutions.
 Velflex: Visual Impact
Visitors will be able to print their own t-shirt
at the Velflex ‘One Stop Transfer Shop’ using
UltraColour ready-to-press transfers and
Hotronix Heat Presses. The shop will also allow
visitors to experience how easy it can be to add
customised products like tees, caps and tote bags to create valuable new revenue streams, with live demonstrations of end-to-end transfer production using a brand new direct-to-film transfer printer and consumables.
Roland DG: Visual Impact & Fespa
 Roland DG will be showcasing
the full range of TrueVIS models
at Visual Impact, including the
newly released AP-640 resin
model, and LG/MG UV printer cutters, and the previously launched SG3/VG3 eco-solvent printer cutters.
In addition to this, it will also showcase other popular models including the LEF2 benchtop UV models, the high-volume XT-640S DTG printer, and the VersaStudio BN-20/20A desktop printer cutter.
Fespa will have an even bigger range, and will also include the six new TrueVIS models just launched.
    Ricoh: Fespa
Ricoh is about to launch a direct-to-garment printing technology that it says eliminates the pretreatment process and allows for printing on polyester garments – even dark ones.
Ricoh DTG currently markets the entry level Ri 100, the Ri 1000 and the Ri 2000. The new systems will have the ability to print on 100 per cent dark polyester, in high quality, and for lower costs.
The new printer will work on dark polyester, cotton and 50/50 blends in multiple colours. Output will be equivalent to the Ri 1000, 20-25 dark shirts per hour.
Starleaton (Zünd & Neschen): Visual Impact & Fespa
Starleaton will have a wide range of hardware and media on its Visual Impact booth from its solutions developers, which include the Zünd G3 automated cutting system, Canon print systems and Neschen eco-friendly PVC free media.
All will have stands of their own
at Fespa, with Zünd showing both hardware and software. Canon will have flatbed and roll-to-roll systems, while Neschen will have PVC-free media on show, as well as its sustainable Easy
Dot PP range, which includes graphics media, wallpapers, and laminates. Neschen is highlighting its green credentials.
The Neenah Coldenhove transfer paper for dye-sublimation transfer printing is also being highlighted.
Stick on Signs (Dimense): Visual Impact & Fespa
The Dimense prints and embosses in one pass, thanks to an inkjet engine and a calendar press in the same machine. It prints at 20sqm an hour on a 1.6m roll, with an emboss of up to 1.5mm.
Typical applications include home and
office decor, point of sale and signage material. Finishing choices include matte, allowing use of the brightest colours, gold, pearlescent, chameleon for advertising, packaging, and interior decors, and silver for wherever a metallic finish is required.
