The enhanced Xeikon Panther digital presses enable lower ink consumption, less energy and less wastage.
Step into digital label production with a new Xeikon Panther
Xeikon’s Panther Technology was first introduced in 2017, shortly after the acquisition of EFI
Jetrion. With the PX2000
and PX3000 in 2018, the inkjet technology was launched with the Panther series. The technology was mastered for labels a year later, and in 2020, the PX30000 joined the range with a 7-colour digital press. Today, the improvements
are with the upgrade of the PX3300 and PX2200.
At the beginning of 2023, Xeikon launched its PantherCure LED series. They come with several benefits
• LED curing generates less heat exposed to the substrate, which allows to use more heat-sensitive substrates.
• A broader colour gamut enables it to address more proprietary brand colours.
• The quality of the image is increased by introducing a new screening, waveform and ink, delivering consistent UV curing.
• Less waste, through the elimination of mercury bulbs, which also provides a more sustainable option.
• LED ink curing requires less energy for the same speed, thereby decreasing the overall energy consumption, having a direct impact on the total operating costs.
The combination of these elements reduces ink consumption by an average of 30 per cent.
